James Levine, Ph.D., LICSW

James Levine, the founder and director of James Levine & Associates, P.C., grew up in a family owned and operated business. He is the owner and director of JLA, a mid-size company that began with three staff and now has approximately 40 employees. Dr. Levine has been invested in the functioning and performance of individuals and groups since 1979. He received his MSW in clinical social work from Smith College School of Social Work and his Ph.D. from Simmons College.

In addition to his widespread training and consulting work, Dr. Levine is the award-winning author of the recent book "Learning from Behavior" published by Praeger Press. He has also published a number of professional articles. His clinical interests range from ADHD and learning disabilities to group functioning among work teams.
