Johanna Hammer, LICSW

Johanna Hammer has provided clinical and behavioral consultation to schools, providers, and families working with children ages two to eighteen. She is highly regarded as a dynamic and skilled presenter, speaking on a range of topics from Autism-Spectrum Disorders to Positive Behavioral Supports.

Ms. Hammer received her Master's Degree in Social Work from Smith College and is now an Adjunct Professor. She maintains her clinical practice in our Westfield office where she specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy with at-risk adolescents.

In addition, Johanna provides services to area schools in the form of:

  • Functional Behavior Assessments. Helping schools and parents better understand problematic behaviors to create interventions that work.
  • Risk Assessments when more serious behaviors arise, what to do and how to determine the next step.
  • Professional Development Increasing the skills of school staff to help all students become better and happier learners.
