| Sabrina Herman, LICSW
Sabrina Herman has extensive experience working with
children, adolescents and their families in residential settings,
specialized foster care and public schools. Most recently she has
worked as an individual and group therapist at the Academy at Swift
River- a private specialized boarding school for adolescents suffering
from a range of emotional issues including depression, eating disorders,
sexual abuse trauma and substance abuse. She presently is a private
consultant for the school.
Sabrina has training in BodyMind Centering,
Art therapy, Authentic Movement and Psychodrama. In addition, she
incorporates mindfulness techniques for stress reduction and insight
oriented work.
Sabrina served for over two years as a Peace Corps
Volunteer in Benin, West Africa and has lived and worked for four
years in the Netherlands. She draws upon her overseas experiences
to work with issues of cultural sensitivity.
Sabrina is a graduate
of New York University School of Social Work. |
