Kathleen Salomone, Ed.D, NCSP, ABSNP

Kathleen Salomone is a licensed educational psychologist. She is a nationally certified school psychologist and a diplomat in school neuropsychology. Dr. Salomone has over 18 years experience working in schools with students with disabilities and their families.She has extensive experience and training in psycho educational and school neuropsychological evaluation assessing a wide range of learning, developmental, social emotional, transitional, adaptive, and behavioral issues.

In addition to assessment, Dr. Salomone provides consultation to schools and families, provides training's, and has helped to create specialized programs and interventions for students with social cognitive disabilities and/or ASD. A former integrated special needs preschool teacher and autism consultant under the Department of Education Exploring the Options Grant, she has wide-ranging experience working with young children through young adults on the autistic spectrum (Asperger Disorder, PDD/NOS, and Autistic Disorder) and with students with innate or acquired neurological disorders that impact learning, behavior, social emotional functioning, and other neuropsychological constructs.

Dr. Salomone is skilled in multiple methodologies including:

  • DIR,
  • RDI,
  • social cognitive and developmental techniques, and
  • behavioral therapies including:
  • Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports,
  • FBA,
  • PRT,
  • ABA & AVB.

Dr. Salomone is trained to perform ADOS, ADI-R, Vineland II, and social skills evaluations.

Currently, Dr. Salomone teaches graduate level psychology and education courses at American International College where she received her Doctorate in Educational Psychology.
