Carol J. Sawyer, LCSW

Ms. Sawyer has had a private practice for over twenty years. She spent ten years as a school social worker sitting on two child study teams at the elementary level and has spent many hours in the classroom helping teachers cope with child grief as well as socialization and divorce issues.

She has worked extensively helping parents to learn how to communicate with their children in terms of listening and speaking so that the children will hear their parents’ message and be able to talk and listen as well.

Her training as a psychoanalyst, aids her in her work with adults, adolescents, children, couples and parents. She has a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Certificate in Psychoanalysis from the Suffolk Institute of Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.
