Danielle Cooke, MA, BCBA, LABA

Director of School-Based Services

Danielle (she/her) is a product of a Westfield State University education, having received both her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as a WSU Owl. Danielle became a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in the Fall of 2016, and joined JLA shortly after that in the Spring of 2017.

 

Danielle’s passion is supporting individuals with intensive needs; both while working directly with the client, and also while collaborating with their multidisciplinary care teams. While Danielle began her career at JLA as a behavior consultant to schools and families throughout the region, she quickly emerged as a leader of the ABA service division. She provides high-quality, effective supervision and models evidence-based best practices for her BCBA colleagues and Behavior Technician supervisees. Danielle additionally has built relationships with many local Graduate programs, and JLA now has a multi-tiered model of ABA practitioner options to support these partnerships. Danielle currently serves JLA as the Director of School-Based Services and continues to liaise the well-renowned work of her team throughout the region. JLA’s School-Based team provides quality professional development, consultation, and direct service options for the variety of mental health and behavioral health needs affecting students, teachers, and administration alike.

 

When she isn’t working, Danielle spends her time with her son, Jack, and the two can often be found at a youth sports event. Danielle additionally enjoys puzzles and gardening. She is an active participant in the local community, and volunteers in many ways to provide meaningful opportunities for children.

Elena Davis, Ph.D.

Elena Davis, Ph.D.

Director of Assessment Services

(Ellie) Davis, Ph.D. serves as Assistant Director at James Levine and Associates, P.C. and is responsible for supervising and coordinating assessment-related services. She is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in work with young children, adolescents and their parents. Her current professional focus involves providing assessment and consultation services for preschool-aged children through adults. Dr. Davis received her doctorate at the University of Rhode Island and trained at the University of Rochester Medical Center. In addition to being licensed as a clinical psychologist, Dr. Davis also holds certification as a school psychologist. She has worked in numerous public and private school settings across the state providing an array of assessment, therapy, crisis counseling, coaching, behavioral consultation and program evaluation services. Dr. Davis has extensive experience working with individuals to support their optimal functioning across home, school and community settings.

Marisa Pasterczyk

Marisa Pasterczyk

Director of Administrative Services

Marisa Pasterczyk, our Director of Administrative Services oversees all administrative aspects of the organization.  She supervises front office staff, manages contracts and directs our billing and insurance.  In addition, Marisa manages all human resource functions. Overall, she is responsible for keeping our practice running smoothly.

Alli Schlachter, LICSW

Director of Outpatient Services

Alli is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Director of the Outpatient Team, serving on both the School-Based Services and Outpatient Mental Health teams at James Levine & Associates, P.C. She has spent over twenty years working with and advocating for children and families. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Plymouth State University in 1999, Alli began her career as an elementary school teacher. In 2005, she earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Throughout her career as an LICSW in private practice, she has continued to work in and consult with schools in a variety of capacities.

In the Outpatient Program, Alli provides supportive, evidence-based modalities such as EMDR and CBT to adolescents and adults. She believes the relationship between therapist and client is a powerful tool in facilitating emotional growth and therefore strives to create a comfortable, collaborative, and open environment. Alli uses a strengths-based perspective and works with each client to increase awareness and self-understanding in challenging situations.

As part of the School-Based Services team, Alli works with schools across the region to provide group clinical consultation, individual supervision, case consultation, and professional development. She offers professional development in trauma, mental health in schools, and suicide prevention, and collaborates with school systems to create customized professional development based on each school’s unique needs.

 

In addition, Alli completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2004 and continues to study and train in Iyengar Yoga. She has offered yoga and mindfulness classes as part of SEL curricula and training in schools. Alli believes strongly in public service and volunteerism and currently serves as a Town Meeting Member in South Hadley. She is also on the Advisory Board at The MacDuffie School in Granby, MA, and on the Board of Directors of Amherst Community Theater in Amherst, MA. She continues to provide psychotherapy in her private practice, which she opened in 2008.
